A Sydney bricklayer accused of possessing explosives and making bombs should not be used as ammunition for Muslim bashing, the man' s lawyer warned today.
Ghielmie Daniels, 36, was arrested on Friday when 24 explosives and other equipment were uncovered in his Nagle Street residence in Liverpool.
South African-born Daniels was refused bail on Saturday after police alleged he harboured a hatred for his ex-wife and father-in-law and wanted to harm them.
