Labor Minister hails the Kingdom's work progress
Manama, - Minister of Labor Jameel bin Mohammed Ali Humaidan stressed that the Kingdom of Bahrain has grown stronger and brighter with sincere intentions to overcome the difficult emergency phase, thanks to the wisdom of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and his government as well as the unity of the loyal people of Bahrain and the support of the friendly neighbor countries.
Humaidan stated while leading the Bahraini delegation participating in the 100th session of the National Action Conference in Geneva, that the Kingdom of Bahrain is willing to replace the unfortunate crisis with a wave of hard work, through regaining trust and initiating a constructive dialogue, and enhancing the national unity within the Bahraini society.
The Labor Minister also stressed the Kingdom’s full commitment to continue the reform approach, enhancing the foundations and laws, respecting the freedom of expression and association and implementing the protection of human rights in accordance to the international agreements and treaties. He also noted that the Kingdom of Bahrain continues to organize the labor market, and to ensure the working rights of citizens and expatriates without any discrimination, within the framework of the legitimacy of law.
Humaidan clarified that the government offered facilities to organizations affected by the recent crisis in terms of discharging of staff etc.. Through allocating a 140 million dollar budget to support the struggling companies, enabling them to develop and achieve competitiveness through contributing in the recovery of the economy.
He also expressed his pride that the Kingdom of Bahrain was chosen by the International Action Organization as one of the eight countries that implement the leading program of proper work.
